ZWO ASI 120MM Mini

ZWO ASI 120MM Mini

ZWO’s ASI120MM-Mini monochrome camera is perfect for autoguiding or planetary imaging. The ASI120MM-Mini uses a 1.2-megapixel monochrome sensor with a peak QE of 75% and low read noise to give an excellent level of performance despite its compact size. The camera also includes an AR-coated window to maximize light transmission and protect the CMOS sensor.

The affordable ASI120MM-Mini incorporates a 1/3” sensor (4.8mmx3.6mm) with 1280x960 resolution and small 3.75-micron pixels. The small pixel size results in more precise guiding because the camera can detect smaller deviations in guide star position during an exposure. With a high QE and low read noise, the ASI120MM-Mini can detect plenty of potential guide stars in the field of view of a small guide scope.

The ASI120MM-Mini weighs just 2.1oz and has a diameter of 36mm, so it’s far more compact than the ZWO ASI120MM-S. The main body of the camera slips into a 1.25” focuser and includes a M28.5X0.6 female thread for 1.25" astronomy filters. The camera uses a small Type-C USB2.0 interface, the same type of connector used by many cell phones, and 12-bit ADC for good data resolution. Its ST4 port enables direct connection to the autoguiding port on the telescope mount.

The camera comes with instructions to help you download the required control software and drivers directly from the ZWO website.
